The Colorado Department of Health Care Policy and Financing (The Department) is submitting a waiver amendment to the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services (CMS) for the Children with Autism (CWA) waiver. The proposed amendment includes the schedule to phase out the CWA waiver due to behavioral therapy services moving to the Early and Periodic Screening, Diagnostic and Treatment (EPSDT) program.

The Department has asked for and Effective date of July 1st, 2018 for the proposed amendment. Please see the CWA Waiver Amendment Fact Sheet on the website for more information about the amendment and public comment opportunity.

Weekly Communication Briefs 4-12-2017

The first Denver area meeting is on April 19th, so it would be good to get it up before the weekend if possible.   This is an example of what I would like to emphasize as something current or new on our homepage to attract visitor’s attention to it, if at all possible.  I understand you might not have time to edit our website home page in time to get this called out before next week, but in the next couple months I anticipate needing to post more information and time-sensitive announcements that our stakeholders will want to know about.
