North Metro Community Services Residential Program provides long term residential supports for adults with developmental disabilities. We are committed to providing the highest quality to individuals, who on their own, have difficulty meeting the challenges of daily living.
The residential program has host homes, group homes and apartments that serve 180 adults. These homes are located throughout the northeast suburbs of Denver and include Brighton, Thornton, Northglenn and Westminster.
The Residential Program is approved by the Colorado Division of Developmental Disabilities and Colorado Department of Health. All staff and host home providers have a clean criminal background and complete extensive training as part of their job requirements.
As a residential care provider with 33 years of experience we can provide expert services in the following areas:

There are three residential options that include:
Host Homes – one or two individuals live in a private home with an individual or family who are responsible for their care. NMCS residential currently has 80 host homes.
Group Homes – 3-6 individuals live in an agency home is staffed according to the needs of the consumers. We have ten homes that serve individuals with significant medical or behavioral needs.
Staffed Apartments – 1-2 individuals live in an apartment and have access to staff 24/7. This program is open and currently accepting new referals.
Each consumer has a Team Leader that is responsible to provide oversight for the residential services that are provided. The residential program has four LPN’s that oversee medical services for consumers. They review medications changes, follow up on medical problems, make routine visit to consumers’ homes and train staff and providers on consumer medical needs. The residential dietician assures consumers are provided with good nutrition and develops diets for consumers with specific dietary orders. The Benefits Technician assures that the consumer receives all benefits that are due to him/her and completes annual recertification of these benefits.
All residential sites are monitored on a frequent basis and unannounced visits are made regularly.
