Family Support Services Program
The Family Support Services Program, commonly referred to as FSSP, provides support and funding to people with developmental delays, intellectual/developmental disabilities and their families.
Funding for this program comes from State of Colorado tax dollars and is responsibly distributed to families based on state guidelines. Currently, funding may be provided for prescribed therapies, emergency respite care, assistance with medical and dental expenses related to a person’s disability or delay. Medicaid or family medical insurance are billed first prior to FSSP funds being requested by the family and approved by the FSSP Allocations Committee.
