EARLY INTERVENTION

Colorado’s Early Intervention program provides supports and services to children with developmental delays or disabilities and their families from birth until the child’s third birthday. Early Intervention can help families learn ways to support and promote their child’s development within their everyday routines and activities.

Research shows that the first three years of a child’s life are the most important time for developing and learning. Individuals such as a doctor, family member, neighbor, or child care worker may make a referral on a family’s behalf. A family may also contact us on their own.

SUPPORT SERVICES

North Metro Support Services offers an extensive array of services dedicated to providing support for individuals residing at home with family members or independently within the community. Our services are all about making life a bit easier. We work alongside the natural support systems, communities, and families already in place. The Supported Living Services (SLS) and Children’s Extensive Services (CES) programs we offer are specifically crafted to harmonize with each person’s needs. So, if you’re looking for support that feels like a friendly neighbor, you’re in the right place.

RESIDENTIAL SERVICES

The goal of our residential services is to provide adults with IDD with a supportive and nurturing environment where they can live independently or with assistance based on their needs.  Our services aim to enhance peoples’ quality of life by offering personalized care, promoting autonomy, fostering social inclusion, and facilitating access to necessary resources and support networks.  Our objective is to empower people living with IDD to lead fulfilling lives within their communities while ensuring their safety, well-being, and dignity.

DAY SERVICES

North Metro’s Day Services are all about helping each person access the community and gain the necessary skills to allow them to do so independently. Our programs are a great way to develop social and emotional skills, and help build a sense of self-reliance within each individual.  Our primary goal is to encourage lasting relationships within the community, the kind of relationships that will endure beyond Day Services and into the rest of daily life. We do so with small groups, where you can expect personal attention and a focus on individual choice.
