Here’s a little something from one of our amazing Early Intervention families:

As a mom working with students with special needs in 27J, I learned about Early Intervention (EI) through Child Find, which shared our building. Seeing James struggle made me decide to start the EI process. James has made such huge improvements not only in his speech with us, but his learning and growing. He now tries new things, plays with friends, his sister, and communicates his needs clearly. He knows numbers, colors, and letters, sings songs, and shares his excitement for learning every day. He doesn’t hit or kick anymore and really enjoys telling us about things that he is playing or interacting with. It has been absolutely amazing to watch James and his confidence grow every day. He comes home with new words and sentences that he is so excited about sharing. If you aren’t sure about EI, give it a chance because it’s extra support to not only help your child, but also help you as parents and a family. I promise that you won’t regret having those extra supports! Having a therapist that truly cares about my child has been a game changer for us. James has become an outgoing little 2.5 year old and doesn’t have the meltdowns we had before starting EI. Watching James absorb new information and then teach us something new every day has been an absolute joy!
